Curriculum Overview

Media is a specials class  that focuses on Literacy, Maker Centered Learning, Career Readiness and Library Sciences. This programing will positively impact the learning of all students. During Media instruction we hope to nurture and inspire the following traits in our students:
 Media encourages children to be…
…curious. Children are explorers and they pursue projects they personally find interesting.
…playful. Children often work on projects that show a sense of whimsy.
…risk takers. Children aren’t afraid to try things that haven’t been done before.
…responsible. Children enjoy taking on projects that can help others.
…persistent. Children don’t give up easily.
…resourceful. Children look for materials and inspiration in unlikely places.
…optimistic. Children believe that they can make a difference in the world.
We are excited to celebrate learning in Media as students will have inspiring opportunities to design, build, create, reflect, checkout books, and code frequently. We look forward to these student-centered learning experience and are confident that our children will thrive in Media.
